About RetroBot
Dahl Lee
CEO / Animation Director / Songwriter
RetroBot was founded in 2008 by director Dahl Lee, building on his experience producing CUBIX and AquaKids. The studio has a full pipeline that covers every stage of animation production—from planning, scriptwriting, and storyboarding to dubbing, music, and sound.
Over the years, RetroBot has created children’s TV animation series such as TOBOT, BIKLONZ, ATHLON, PotenDogs, and TOBOT: Daedo’s Heroes. Among them, TOBOT achieved remarkable success in Korea, breaking the dominance of Japanese robot shows and sparking a boom in homegrown robot animation. Moving forward, RetroBot aims to expand in three directions: beyond Korea into global markets, beyond TV into new media, and beyond children’s content into works enjoyed across generations—broadening the horizons of Korean animation.
